The higher the engine hours, the greater the savings. Diesel operating costs are driven by how much the engine works and the amount of fuel consumed. When diesel tractors are replaced with electric, diesel fuel costs are eliminated.
Increase Safety
EV trucks run on voltages less than 120V DC (direct current) which is significantly lower and safer than the 350V DC to 450V DC commonly used on diesel. Generally safer than AC (alternating current), 120V DC is considered safer than voltages commonly found in residential homes.
